The IMPROVE Project presented at the IDE 2026 conference

On 10 and 11 September 2026, MultiMed Engineers, jointly with UPM and Dedalus, attended the IDE 2026 Conference (Ninth Edition) in Specchiolla (Brindisi, Italy), seizing the opportunity to present the objectives, approach and activities of the IMPROVE project, and how it leverages Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs), Patient Reported Experience Measures (PREMs) and Patient Preference Information (PPI) in support of Value-Based Healthcare. The project has been presented on Thursday 10th, 2026 in the session dedicated to Digital Health, while its exploitation potential has been discussed in a restricted session on Friday 11th, dedicated to the prospects of Digital Health in the era of the European Health Data Space regulation and Generative AI.

It was within this framework that, on 28 May 2026, MultiMed Engineers, together with the Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori of Milan—the project’s coordinating institution—and the Azienda Ospedaliero-Universitaria Consorziale Policlinico di Bari, organised the workshop “IDEA4RC: An Intelligent Data Ecosystem for Rare Cancers. Opportunities and Challenges when Deploying a Regulatory-Compliant System for Multi-Centre Secondary Use of Health Data.”

The event was hosted by the Unit of Maxillofacial Surgery, at the Policlinico di Bari.
